FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Halotherapy?

Halotherapy (salt therapy) is an all natural, drug free, holistic therapy done in a controlled air environment recreating the natural salt cave microclimate. This therapy uses Himalayan salt and halogenerator technology to disperse and maintain adequate levels of dry salt aerosol into the room.

Breathe Better

Salt therapy can ease the symptoms of: asthma, allergies, bronchitis, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, COPD, chronic/temporary respiratory tract inflammations, common cold and flu.

Look Better

Halotherapy helps improve the look of the skin affected by: eczema, psoriasis, rashes, hives, dermatitis, acne, and rosacea. It is also known to help your skin heal after cosmetic surgery and cellulite reduction treatments.

Feel Better

Negative Ions, released by Himalayan salt crystals, promote brain chemistry changes that help improve your mood, relieve tension and stress, decrease fatigue, boost your energy, increase concentration, and improve sleeping.

What is Himalayan salt?

Himalayan salt is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial that reduces inflammation and opens up breathing passages. Salt thins out mucus build-up, eliminates allergens, and improves lung function. It also has positive benefits for your skin, helps increase immunity, stimulates metabolism, improves concentration, helps decrease fatigue, and improves your mood.

What happens during a Halotherapy session?

The walls in our salt room are lined with Himalayan salt crystals. These crystals emit negative ions (“the vitamins of the air”) known to produce biochemical reactions that increase levels of Serotonin in the body.

The room is equipped with a Halogenerator that produces dry salt aerosol. In the salt room, our clients are invited to rest on comfortable chairs surrounded by the calming glow of pure salt crystals, while breathing in the dry Himalayan salt aerosol.

What should you wear in the salt room?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, appropriate for wearing in a public space. Our salt room’s temperature is set between 68-70 degrees at all times, and while blankets and hot tea are provided, we advise you to make sure you are dressed to your comfort.

Is Halotherapy safe for children?

Halotherapy is a suitable treatment for children of any age after they have surpassed six months old. Children respond quicker to Halotherapy than adults and less sessions are needed. If your child/children have been suffering from bronchial issues, constant skin irritation, or unidentifiable allergies, do not hesitate to research further or just call us for a in depth chat about the many benefits of Halotherapy.

As parents ourselves, we know how important it is to find better ways to care for our children’s well-being and we are very excited to offer other families a chance to try this holistic, safe and non-invasive therapy for free.

Children under the age of 13 can enjoy salt therapy for free during Child-Friendly Sessions and they must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
